Whale Alert has officially collaborated with BitcoinAbuse to battle with cryptocurrency crimes.

Specifically, Whale Alert, a service specialized in tracking large cryptocurrency transactions, has decided to leverage capabilities to fight crimes related to cryptocurrencies by teaming up with BitcoinAbuse, starting from September 2019. BitcoinAbuse is well-known for its database of Bitcoin (BTC) addresses used by hackers and criminals.

Talking about the collaboration, Whale Alert said: “We will now report transactions made to scammers and keep track of their assets. You can help make crypto safer by reporting scams, black markets and hacks on the website BitcoinAbuse.com.”

Crypto crime has been considered one of the major rising threats around the globe. In South Korea, the Justice Ministry calculated that criminal activities involving cryptocurrency have cost the country 2.69 trillion won (about $2.28 billion), during July 2017 and June 2019.

Earlier, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, India’s police training academy, has reportedly launched a cryptocurrency course intended to train officers of the Indian Police Service.
