Tim Wagner – vice president of engineering at the high-profile, US-based crypto exchange firm Coinbase – has reportedly resigned from his position at the firm.
As reported by CoinDesk on July 30, Wagner will be moving on from Coinbase in a fortnight. An anonymous representative of Coinbase has confirmed the legitimacy of the news to the press. Currently, his latest position on Wagner’s professional LinkedIn page still reads Coinbase VP Engineering.
Wagner has taken the aforementioned role at Coinbase starting August last year. Prior to his appointment at Coinbase, Wagner has been employed by Amazon Web Services (AWS), as well as Microsoft.
During his time at Microsoft, Wagner has served as a Microsoft’s Visual Studio Ultimate development director. At Amazon, Wagner has had experience working in numerous roles, including general manager for an array of products, such as AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway and AWS Serverless App Repository.
Coinbase has witnessed the leave of another member, just one day prior to the Wagner announcement. Andrew L. Ridenour – who has had 6 more months of working experience at Coinbase compared to Wagner – has rejoined the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
