Telegram’s Gram Test Wallet Is Downloadable With Github-based Source Code

By | November 2, 2019

Grams Wallet – the crypto storage of major messaging app Telegram – has been made compatible with the MacOS, Windows and Ubuntu operating system in testing mode, with Github-based source code.

Specifically, the test wallet has been made available for mass download, and will grant its users the power to set up a new address and receive private keys, together with being able to interact with a built-in bot – dubbed TestTonBot – in charge of handling any requests regarding testing Gram tokens.

Particularly, the mentioned bot will send out invitations to Telegrams users to try out the new features, via asking the system to transfer 5 to 20 tokens to the crypto address previously set up in-app. After that, the bot will notify users when the executing process is initiated, before sending a different notification saying that test Grams were credited to the wallet.

The test token transacting process can be publicly viewed on the Telegram Open Network (TON) testnet explorer, with specifically related information, nominally transaction time and amount, along with the TestTonBot’s wallet address (sender) and the latest recorded transaction.

The TON testnet explorer and node software were previously rolled out in September this year, which is primarily to prepare for the Gram crypto coin, initially set to be available in October, but was then canceled, due to SEC-related reasons.
