Square CEO Jack Dorsey reportedly thought highly of Bitcoin and blockchain’s potential to turn effectively immutable for content stores on it.
Specifically, Dorsey reportedly provided his opinion during a digital event organized by the Oslo Freedom Forum – an event-focused department of the Human Rights Foundation (HRF).
“The whole spirit of Bitcoin, for instance, is to provide a trusted system in a distrusted environment, which is the internet. I fundamentally believe that security is not something that can ever be perfected. It’s a constant push to be 10 steps ahead of your attackers.” Dorsey reportedly remarked.
Dorsey reportedly further mentioned Bitcoin- along with its technology – as an instance of new technological innovation that contributed to an achievement for an enhanced level of security, reducing the crucial nature of trust involved in the process.
Dorsey reportedly also discussed the concept and how necessary it is for individuals to possess the capability of controlling their own access capabilities and keys, as displayed in Bitcoin.
Additionally, Dorsey reportedly spoke of blockchain and decentralization as bringing along changes to the online content scene, hosted by a wider range of sides in replacement for the existing centralized entities.
“Blockchain and Bitcoin point to a future, and point to a world, where content exists forever, where it’s permanent, where it doesn’t go away, where it exists forever on every single node that’s connected to it,”
