Blockchain platform Solana reportedly disclosed details of an open invitation to Building out Loud – a hackathon venture particularly available to developers and entrepreneurs based in India.
Specifically, Solana is reportedly having plans down its pipeline to roll out an event that will last for three weeks, via a partnership with Devfolio and YouTube influencer Superpumped.
Solana’s update reportedly came with a free and open invitation to “students, Web2 & Web3 developers, engineers and anyone looking to get into crypto organized in collaboration”.
The initiative to have the event primarily revolves around India’s open-source crypto community could come across as unexpected, to individuals who have acknowledged the currently employed anti stance towards Bitcoin (BTC) from mainstream Indian banks, like ICICI.
The registration deadline for the hackathon will reportedly be the 12th of August.
“If you’re an ambitious engineer or developer in India looking to build something, this is the skyhook you’re looking for.” Solana further remarked, claiming hackathons to be the originating force of numerous crypto startups.
Apart from the cash rewards from a pool of $80,000, any entities who secure the winning spots will have the ability to raise capital from the Solana Foundation and prominent international investors.
The project reportedly also welcomed aboard a variety of different players and entrepreneurs, including former Coinbase chief technology officer Balaji Srinivasan, seed investor Chris McCann and Cred founder Kunal Shah.
