Ethereum scalability infrastructure developer Polygon reportedly revealed its initiative to develop a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), catering to its community members, as well as DeFi initiatives.
Specifically, Polygon reportedly seeks its members’ perspectives regarding the platform developing a DAO.
Per Polygon, the primary goal it is trying to accomplish is to form committees, dedicated to promoting debates among initiatives, including QuickSwap, Sushi Aave, and others to “bring DeFi to the next million users.”
“As the Polygon ecosystem grows, the committee members have a front-seat opportunity over others to increase cross-collaboration for their products. Voting for elections of new members could be implemented in multiple ways like by using staked MATIC on PoS or via the DAO token holders.” The project further remarked.
Polygon reportedly shared that the DAO could provide a means of scalability for initiatives on the software development kits (SDKs).
Additional advantages reportedly include “anyone building tooling, integrations, and projects” on layer-two roll-ups as well.
The development reportedly surfaced in under a week from an update rolled out by Polygon, revealing its plan to finalize the merger of Hermez Network into its ecosystem, via a $250 million acquisition. The merger was included within the scope of Polygon’s plan to establish its presence across zero-knowledge proofs.
