American cinema heavyweight AMC Theatres has reportedly finalized their crypto plan at long last, following its addition of crypto, nominally Bitcoin (BTC), to the list of payment measures for ticket purchasing.

Specifically, Head of AMC – Adam Aron – reportedly disclosed details regarding the firm’s decision to roll out facilitating features for four extra crypto coins as payment mediums for online payments, including Bitcoin, Ether (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC).

The freshly rolled out means of payment already took up for 14% of AMC’s overall online transactions, per Aron, further claiming that crypto will be featured alongside traditional payment options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.

Dogecoin (DOGE) – a memecoin that has been generating attraction from the public and recently grew exponentially by 9,000% – will reportedly be next in line to be added to the list of recognized virtual coins for AMC online payment.

In the past, Aron revealed that AMC will be offering supporting features for DOGE payments for tickets, following his 140,000-voter Twitter poll managed to get the firm to go through with the crypto payment initiative.

Aron eventually carried out a poll of the same kind for Shiba Inu (SHIB) – one more well-known dog coin that surpassed Dogecoin in market capitalization in late October.

This most recent development is reportedly included within the scope of  AMC’s plans to roll out Bitcoin payments for movie tickets by the end of this year. The firm disclosed details of the plan in August, eventually widening its scope of supported crypto coins to cover ETH, BCH, LTC and DOGE.

AMC has reportedly been making gradual strides towards achieving its target of accepting cryptocurrency payments by the end of 2021, debuting crypto payments for digital gift card purchases in early October.
