Argentine congressman Ignacio Torres is reportedly working towards proposing a new bill to the nation’s parliament, dedicated to establishing a crypto-focused framework across the country.
Specifically, Torres – among the youngest deputies of Argentina – is reportedly collaborating with Alberto Vega – Head of Bithan and having a goal to discuss a legal framework for crypto locally – to finalize the draft legislation.
“It is important to take into account where Argentina stands now and how we can get the benefits of being a pioneer country in the crypto sphere.” Alberto Vega reportedly remarked.
Vega additionally stated that the problem associated with regulations for Bitcoin is not even in the discussing topics in Argentina, or mentioned in talks at a country-scale, “when in other countries they are already hard at work on it.”
Vega reportedly claimed that Argentina needs to put in efforts to best utilize the ecosystem, to bring the best benefits for the nation.
“We have been in the ecosystem for a long time and we see the problems in the industry. There are companies that have their bank accounts closed for no reason. These are very arbitrary rules,”
The new bill will reportedly be dedicated to target the enormous use of the crypto infrastructure and the efficiency that infrastructure is able to offer, even take the place of or make the current infrastructures better.
