Hong Kong-based Sapphire Technology, a manufacturer of graphics cards and components for both consumer and professional applications, has publicly announced (Jan 22) its latest blockchain graphics card capable of mining cryptocurrency – especially new privacy-focused ones like Grin.

Sapphire said the new miner, the RX 570 16GB HDMI Blockchain Graphics Card, is “the first of a new family” of GPU (graphics processing unit) blockchain products it is lining up. Its press release claims the card is “one of the few solutions that can efficiently” mine Cuckatoo 31+, therefore leading to “higher rewards for early miners”.

Although not yet officially available for purchase, customers will be able to pre-order the card “soon”.
