Multichain Completed Rootstock Integration Blockchain Bridge Ecosystem

By | July 11, 2022

Cross-chain platform Multichain has successfully integrated the Bitcoin-powered smart contract protocol Rootstock (RSK) blockchain into its ecosystem.

Specifically, the freshly carried out integration will make it possible to exchange Ether (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), Binance USD (BUSD) and other assets between RSK, Ethereum and BNB Chain.

Per an announcement on July 4th, the integration will serve as a significant benchmark for Multichain due to the fact that it allows tapping into decentralized finance (DeFi) on Bitcoin. This new feature will enable users to utilize RSK’s security and functionality.

The integration will also make it possible for RSK to deploy Bitcoin to Multichain’s ecosystem, while at the same time offer access to new markets and use cases for its users.

The RSK sidechain is the unprecedented Bitcoin-powered sidechain to be complete inclusion into Multichain. It is highly favoured across the Bitcoin sphere by enthusiasts, together with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-based DeFi.

The firm additionally claimed that its integration with Rootstock will serve the purpose of providing foundation perks to builders taking advantage of RSK. There will not be a necessity to invest resources in designing bridges to capital and addressable markets, for instance. They will also have a quicker time marketing new platforms based on RSK.

Users may commence the bridging of their ETH, USDC, BUSD, BNB, WBTC and DAI between RSK’s network and Ethereum. Multichain will include additional chains and tokens to the RSK network in the coming weeks and months.

“RSK is home to the fastest-growing DeFi for Bitcoin ecosystem with protocols that are built to last and provide real solutions to the issues users face in centralized finance.” RSK co-founder Diego Gutiérrez Zaldívar further remarked.

The anyCall interoperability protocol has been updated by Multichain, which allows cross-chain communications and name contracts. It will be a tool of high value to develop Rootstock-based cross-chain decentralized apps and other supported networks.
