Microsoft Azure – the blockchain-powered cloud computing service designed by Microsoft – has reportedly rolled out a new data management tool for blockchain and tokenization.
Specifically, on December 6th, the IT service heavyweight has made its newest projects – dubbed “the Azure Blockchain Tokens” and blockchain data manager – publicly available.
The Azure Blockchain Tokens managing tool was particularly built to make the process of defining, creating and managing industrial standards compliant tokens simpler.
The new Microsoft Azure-developed tool also comes with pre-designed templates to support normal uses. The IT service also looks to provide storage for templates sent int by partnering firms. This feature is planned to be introduced in the future.
“With this latest offering, we can now offer customers an end-to-end experience of easily creating and managing tokens for physical or digital assets via Azure Blockchain Tokens (preview), in addition to managing the blockchain network itself via Azure Blockchain Service.”
The second introduced project – the blockchain data manager – is an update of Azure Blockchain Service, which makes it possible for its clients to capture blockchain ledger data, run any encrypted piece through transformation and decryption process, and send it to numerous sources.
The new feature is believed to make “the cumbersome task of integrating existing applications with data that sits on a blockchain ledger” easier.
Previously, Microsoft has rolled out a blockchain non-fungible tokens (NFT) – to reward its developers.
