Online auction platform eBay has reportedly forged an alliance with Lolli – a crypto-focused shopping application – to finalize the integration of Bitcoin (BTC) rewards for its 127 million clients.
Specifically, Lolli reportedly disclosed that its users will be eligible for a Bitcoin-based earn back of 1%, upon their purchases made on eBay.
The development is reportedly included in a dual strategy for completing the integration of crypto payments with online marketplaces, as well as to amp up the awareness level regarding crypto assets.
“Today, we are proud to partner and make bitcoin more accessible to those users and continue our mission of furthering bitcoin education and adoption.” Co-founder and Head of Lolli, Alex Adelman, reportedly stated.
“We’re proud to launch with eBay just in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday as a treat to our loyal Lolli shoppers. We’ve been working tirelessly to make this integration possible in time for people to earn bitcoin on all their holiday shopping this year.” Matt Senter, Lolli’s CTO and cofounder, further shared his remarks regarding the development.
Lolli reportedly functions as a crypto rewards firm allowing users to generate free Bitcoin or cash, anytime they do their shopping across 1,000 partner stores.
The eBay marketplace is reportedly finalizing the Lolli integration in preparation for the upcoming holiday period, where a drastic surge in shopping volume is expected to occur, as Online sales tied to Black Friday and Cyber Monday are expected to cross the $22 billion benchmark in 2020
