The Cabinet of Germany, the chief executive body of the German government, has announced that the strategy of country’s blockchain will be launched by mid-2019. The Cabinet remarked on the development of fintech in the country on Feb 26.
There are five member states in the fintech sandboxes European Union, Denmark, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland and the United Kingdom.
The Cabinet claims that they will go through an online consultation process before introducing the blockchain strategy. The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy are setting up the strategy, with the hope that other ministries will participate in the blockchain strategy later.
Last month, Germany’s government begun consulting companies and industry groups on the potential of blockchain technology. Earlier, Boerse Stuttgart Group, the second largest German stock exchange, officially launched a mobile app for crypto-trading called “Bison app”, reported by The Crypto Sight on Feb 11.
