Manny Pacquiao – the legendary Filipino-based boxer – has reportedly rolled out his self-designed cryptocurrency.
Reported by the South China Morning Post on September 1, the world-renowned boxing champion has introduced his own digital coins, which have been backed by numerous private investors, nominally Michael Owen – Liverpool FC legendary striker – along with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed al-Nahyan – a part of the royal family running Abu Dhabi.
The Cryptocurrency – dubbed the Pac token – will have its first listing on Singapore’s Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX), which will grant his supporters the ability to purchase his products and interacts with him through social networks.
Jeffrey Lin – GCOX Founder and CEO – revealed that attracting funds is the primary goal of the token, accompanied by the secondary of setting up a token ecosystem.
Pacquiao – who is the holder of the World Boxing Association welterweight title at the moment, has run for a public office to become a senator in the Philippines in June 3 years ago.
Previously – Jason Derulo – the famous American singer – also had plans to launch his self-designed digital coin on the GCOX’s platform.
