EOS parent firm Block.one is introducing its next international branch, 4th in total, which will be headquartered the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region.

On September 23, Block.one LLC made public the news of the establishment of its 4th global divisions, which will be situated specifically in Arlington, Virginia, and will be in charge of US-based operations.

The new branch will generate approximately 170 high-expertise job opportunities, within a e-year timeframe.

“Its proximity to the nation’s capital positions us close to the policy innovation around digital assets and distributed ledger technology in the U.S. This expansion opens up important new avenues of talent expansions for us at a time when there is rapidly increasing demand for blockchain-based technologies.” Block.one CEO Brendan Blumer remarked regarding the news.

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam reportedly disclosed that a fund equivalent to $10 million will be coming from Block.one to develop the Arlington region. He further expects that the new global site will help reinforce and improve Virginia’ standing in the IT field.

The governor extensively notified that Block.one has met the required conditions to be awarded the Major Business Facility Job Tax Credit, regarding the numerous full-time positions generated from the new site, along with a $600,000 fund from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund, as a financial aid for the project.
