The Netherlands-based Domino’s Pizza franchises are reportedly adding Bitcoin to the list of choices for salary payout for its staff to select from. 

Specifically, the franchisee operating 16 Domino’s Pizza places in 270 located throughout Holland reportedly disclosed that Bitcoin (BTC) has been made available as an additional option, aside from euros, for a salary payout that is over the nation’s minimum wage. 

BTC Direct, a local crypto company with a fiat-to-crypto onramp, is reportedly in charge of this process for over 1000 staff at the firm.

Dutch regulation made it mandatory for establishments to use euros for paying minimum wage. The minimum wage is flexible according to the age and hour, but a typical 15-18-year-old employee in the nation can earn a bit more working at the pizza chain compared to the standard amount decided by the local regulation, meaning they can store some Bitcoin in their possession every month. 

Immensus’s update of rolling out BTC payments reportedly came at the same time with the 11th anniversary of the first successfully documented commercial transaction of cryptocurrency for two Papa John’s pizzas, an event generally referred to as Bitcoin Pizza Day nowadays.
