Crypto exchange platform Bybit has reportedly entered new agreements with esports entities Astralis and Alliance – an effort of establishing its presence across the video game sector.

Specifically, crypto exchange platforms have considered esports to be a field that can offer significant growth, with the industry has witnessed substantial development during the past years since leagues aim to cash in on the competitive nature of video games.

The new contracts will reportedly help the Bybit logo to be present on gaming jerseys and twitch.tv streams, as included in a wider strategic move, looking to achieve an increased engagement level with players, as well as carbon neutrality initiatives and financial education programs.

Ben Zhou, co-founder and current Head of Bybit, reportedly shared that his firm has a long-term plan with the esports sector, as he believed a “special connection” is visible between the esports and the crypto communities, regarding their high level of competitiveness and rapid adoption curves.

As included within the scope of the partnership, Astralis and Alliance will reportedly send their team to the upcoming World Series of Trading – a gamified cryptocurrency trading competition taking place every year, organized by Bybit.

Players will reportedly enter the contest to win a prize pool of a maximum $7.5 million, which is approximately five times more than the amount of 2020.

Bybit has reportedly been putting efforts in widening its presence across the esports sector, having only recently formed an exclusive alliance with NAVI, a Ukrainian esports group, famous for its Counter-Strike, FIFA, and Apex Legends competitions.
