By | December 22, 2021

Crypto exchange entity Crypto.com has reportedly entered another agreement to widen the scope of its brand recognition throughout America, with the professional women’s sports team Angel City Football Club.

Specifically, on December 21st, Crypto.com reportedly disclosed details regarding its newly formed alliance with the Los Angeles soccer team, in a bid to amplify the awareness of and access to crypto, blockchain, and Web 3.0 among Angelenos, soccer fans, and the athletes themselves.

The exchange reportedly revealed the plans down its pipeline to keep on searching for “unique and impactful ways” to make investments in L.A., with the alliance having a primary goal of encouraging “financial education, independence, and financial empowerment” for women.

“Given the speed with which Web 3.0 and cryptocurrency is changing our world, we want to ensure that women are being brought along on the journey as investors and creators,” Angel City Football Club co-founder and president Julie Uhrman, additionally remarked regarding the development.

The president further expressed her club’s anticipation of collaborating with [Crypto.com] to offer crypto knowledge to the community and players, as well as help them gain access to the power of NFTs, to establish a deeper connection and relationship with their supporters.

The alliance is reportedly the most recent expansion from the crypto exchange into Los Angeles.

Crypto.com reportedly revealed last month its successful status in obtaining the naming rights to the city’s multi-purpose Staples Center, via a $700 million deal lasting for two decades.

The venue – expected to officially change names on December 25th – has reportedly been home to the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, together with the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks.
