Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly entered an exclusive multi-year NFT deal with crypto exchange Binance, to bring the Web3 ecosystem to football supporters via global NFT campaigns. 

Specifically, Binance reportedly put out an announcement, revealing that the agreement will include the formation of a series of NFT collections with Ronaldo, which will be available for purchasing on the Binance NFT platform in an exclusive manner, with the first collection introduced in the latter half of 2022.

Founder and current Head of Binance, Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, reportedly spoke highly of Ronaldo’s achievements in football with further mentions that the athlete has “transcended sport to become an icon in multiple industries.”

“He has amassed one of the world’s most dedicated fan bases through his authenticity, talent and charity work.”

Zhao additionally remarked that the Binance team expresses excitements to offer Ronaldo supporters “exclusive engagement opportunities to connect with Ronaldo” as they get a hold of pieces of the NFT collections. 

Simultaneously, the football legend also shared his thoughts on the anticipating NFT drops, claiming that supporters will undoubtedly enjoy them.

“My relationship with the fans is very important to me, so the idea of bringing unprecedented experiences and access through this NFT platform is something that I wanted to be a part of.” Ronaldo further remarked. 

In March this year, Ronaldo reportedly received an award in the form of crypto tokens for his achievements in the sport. The football legend was awarded with JUV tokens, the official fan token of Juventus F.C., for every senior career goal that he scored.
