High-profile crypto exchange platform Coinbase has reportedly entered an agreement with the National Basketball Association, opening itself to a chance of sharing crypto knowledge with basketball enthusiasts.

Specifically, Coinbase reportedly revealed that the development would offer it the exclusive partnering spot with the National Basketball Association, or NBA, Women’s National Basketball Association, NBA G League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball, as included within the scope of a multiyear sponsorship contract.

Per the NBA, Coinbase will reportedly help build “unique content, innovations, activations and experiences” for basketball supporters, to acquire knowledge regarding the crypto sector, together with being a partner of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup, the USA Basketball men’s and women’s national team exhibition tours and the NBA G League Ignite.

Kate Rouch – chief marketing officer at Coinbase – reportedly disclosed that the deal would come with “interactive experiences to engage with the NBA and WNBA’s incredible community and athletes around the world.”

According to insights generated by Statista, an average figure of 1.6 million individuals watchNBA regular-season games throughout top-tier crypto networks in the 2019–2020 season, with Coinbase sharing that it would be making an appearance in nationally televised NBA games.

A variety of crypto firms and platforms have reportedly established alliances with sports organizations throughout the world, as the sector develops its scope and seemingly becomes more profitable as a sponsor.

Crypto derivatives exchange FTX reportedly shared details of its success in being the official sponsor of Major League Baseball in June, with a previously finalized contract with the Miami Heat to name their home stadium the FTX arena until 2040.
