Cleveland Cavaliers (The Cavs) – the famous, professional basketball club located in Ohio, USA – together with its partnered esports club Cavs Legion GC, have formed a collaboration with crypto firm UnitedCoin.
Reported by The National Basketball Association (NBA) on July 15, the collaboration specifically aimed to promote UnitedCoin, as well as setting up an advance into the fintech sector through cryptocurrency.
The Cavs will be advertising UnitedCoin on the LED signage inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, whenever the Cavs are playing, as part of the collaboration.
The Cavs Legion will publicly promote UnitedCoin as its “Official Cryptocurrency Partner.” This results in the name of UnitedCoin will be generally showcased, whenever an in-court match within the NBA 2k is played. According to the announcement, UnitedCoin brand will also appear on the official social media pages of the Cavs Legion.
Per the press release, UnitedCoin is a US SEC-licensed, early-phase crypto services company, which facilitates both fiat and crypto coins transactions, using mobile phones or emails. The firm has also introduced a Mastercard debit card, which comes with dual support for both fiat and crypto functionality.
Of late, the Miami Dolphin, a professional American football club, has announced Litecoin is the team’s official cryptocurrency, which allows their football audiences to buy raffle tickets.
