Crypto analytics startup Coin Metrics has reportedly secured $6 million equivalent of funding via a finalized Series A round.

Specifically, Highland Capital Partners led the funding round, and the $6 million investment obtained would reportedly be channeled towards the development of Coin Metrics’ team, offering a wider range of services and “provide enhanced coverage of digital assets.”

Castle Island Ventures, Communitas Capital, Coinbase Ventures and Digital Currency Group were also the participants of said funding round.

Coin Metrics is an open source blockchain network data and analytics project, established 3 years ago by Nic Carter and Aleksei Nokhrin. It has gradually earned its reputation of a preferred industry resource, for an in-depth knowledge of operational and economic activity, taking place on public blockchains.

“Financial institutions require clean and transparent data to make decisions. These same requirements exist for Bitcoin and other crypto assets that have emerged over the last decade. It’s become clear that Coin Metrics is the premier destination for network and market data.”  Sean Judge, Principal at Highland Capital Partners, reportedly shared his remarks.

Highland Capital Partners is an international venture company that has poured financial investments into different crypto-related establishments.
