By | February 12, 2022

Bitcoin mining entity from Beijing Bitmain has reportedly forged an alliance with the American sustainable Bitcoin miner, Merkle Standard, to offer capital investment, expertise, and parts.

Specifically, under the scope of the newly formed partnership, Bitmain is reportedly going to make contributions to the design of a maximum of 500 MW of clean digital mining infrastructure at Merkle Standard’s hydro-powered centers, located in Eastern Washington.

Bitmain has reportedly built a reputation as a go-to name throughout the Bitcoin (BTC) ecosystem, best known for the Antminer brand – the parent brand of preferred Bitcoin ASIC miners the S9 and S19.

Merkle Standard reportedly claims to be a BTC miner that pays attention to its carbon footprints, with an interest in achieving a carbon-negative status by the end of 2022.

Merkle Standard sets to complete the installation of a maximum of 150,000 Bitmain mining machines thanks to the venture.

Ruslan Zinurov, Head of Merkle Standard, further shared that the alliance with Bitmain will “catapult our growth plan of building one of North America’s largest sustainable digital asset mining platforms.”

Josh Zappala, chief strategy officer at Merkle Standard, additionally emphasized the advantages BTC mining contributes to the social fabric of local communities.

The joint venture – sharing a common goal of turning into one of the top major employers of the industry – is reportedly going to roll out “35–50 full-time jobs to the site,” while “supporting local business.”

“Due to the flexible characteristics of the data center’s power load, we are suited to be the ideal power consumer for our power providers and look forward to providing additional support to the community.”
