BitGo Offers Institutional-Grade Custody and Wallets Service for Tron

By | October 16, 2019

Cryptocurrency financial services provider BitGo has reportedly revealed that it would roll out institutional-grade custody and wallets, specifically for Tron (TRX), beginning November 8.

As officially announced on October 14, BitGo has been partnering with Tron, in an attempt to introduce “the first TRX institutional-grade wallet and custody offerings that provide on-chain, multi-sig security.”

“TRON came to us because of our reputation for delivering secure and compliant solutions designed for institutional investors. […] Multi-sig has been openly reviewed and tested by the security community. It works with a multitude of open-source tools and we are very pleased to be extending it to TRX on November 8.”

Furthermore, BitGo’s multi-signature addresses demand at least 2 different users, with particularly granted keys, to be able to enter the funds.

Previously, Luxembourg-based cryptocurrency exchange BitStamp has announced that BitGo will provide custody service for its digital assets. The custody service is expected to offer BitStamp’s fund an extra secured cold wallet, in bank-grade vaults, along with BitGo’s $100 million insurance policy.
