Bitwage New Partnership Allows Firms To Pay Their Workers By Cryptocurrency

Pizza Hut – the well-known pizza chain from the US – has reportedly added crypto as an accepted means of payment for customers to finalize purchases, across all its stores based in Venezuela.

Specifically, as disclosed via Twitter by crypto startup CryptoBuyer, digital coins have now been accepted as a viable means of payment for food and drinks, throughout Pizza Hut stores located in the South American country.

The initiative reportedly surfaced after the crypto company teamed up with Mega Soft, in an attempt to boost the adoption level across Venezuela, via rolling out support for crypto payments throughout over 20,000 shops and businesses.

“Pizza Hut nowadays cannot be detached from these technological advances and all those incorporating new approaches for daily necessities. It is important that we accommodate young people, modern adults, and people technologically knowledgeable.” Richard ElKhouri – General Director for Venezuelan operations of the pizza chain – reportedly remarked.

Via utilizing CryptoBuyer, clients will reportedly have the power to finalize purchases for their pizza with Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Dash (DASH), Binance Coin (BNB), Binance USD (BUSD), Ether (ETH), Tether (USDT), Dai (DAI), and its native token XPT.

Cryptobuyer – headquartered in Panama – reportedly functions as a cryptocurrency merchant gateway startup, and at the same time operates Bitcoin ATMs throughout Central and South America.

The firm has previously integrated crypto payment options with different entities from the US, nominally fast food chains such as Burger King, the Tamanaco Intercontinental Hotel in Caracas, and Traki, the biggest chain of retail stores in the nation.
