After the horrendous incident occurred at Notre Dame cathedral, cryptocurrency exchange giant Binance has opened a crypto funding campaign for the reconstruction of the Paris cathedral.

As announced via the firm’s social media – Twitter, Binance has launched a donation program called  “Rebuild Notre-Dame” with the effort to support the medieval cathedral after the fire incident causing major destruction to the historic landmark on April 15.

Binance also expressed the company’s consolation towards the recent event as “great moment of loss for culture, arts, and history shared by all humankind.”

The firm has created the donation channel via its charity website, which is run by The Blockchain Charity Foundation (BCF). As published on Binance charity website, the project has received more than 50 donations in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Binance’s token – Binance coin (BNB), which supports approximately over 16,700 USD.

Binance has so far launched many crypto project and donation in order to support many campaigns. Recently, the firm has created a project namely “Binance Lunch for Children” to support students in schools across Rwanda, Kenya, and Ethiopia.

Other crypto firms also join hands to donate for the reconstruction. On April 15th, global blockchain event BlockShow has opened a crypto crowdfunding campaign for the repair of Notre Dame Cathedral.
