Alternative Airlines – a UK-based traveling firm – has reportedly teamed up with crypto service company Utrust to provide support for crypto-enabled tickets payment option.

Specifically, on November 13, the collaboration marked the first for Utrust to work with a name in the travel sector. The 2 firms look to add cryptocurrencies to the existing payment options when booking plane tickets. 

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dash, DigiByte (DGB) and Utrust’s native token UTK are the supported digital coins. 

The alliance between the 2 companies is expected to allow for instant cross border transactions, buyer protection, and crypto-to-cash settlements for Alternative Airlines customers. The website of the traveling firm provides clients with options from more than 650 airlines such as Delta, United, British Airways, Virgin and Emirates.
