Bitcoin (BTC) kiosks have been set up in 20 Circle K convenience stores across Arizona and Nevada. The program was launched by DigitalMint, a Chicago-based over-the-counter cryptocurrency trading platform.
Marc Grens, DigitMint’s president, has informed in the press release “We are thrilled to be partnering with a respected organization like Circle K. This partnership opens the door for massive expansion of bitcoin access to new markets around the globe.”
DigitalMint ATM is currently supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin trading. Users can trade up to $20,000 per day. In exchange, the firm will charge 12 percent for each transaction.
“Partnering with DigitalMint allows us to provide our customers with seamless access to bitcoin, at a very reasonable price,” stated Joel Konicke, Circle K Stores Inc. Category Manager.
Since the firm does not accept credit or debit card, all purchases must be made with cash. The transaction limitation is set to above $1 million. The BTC ATMs in Arizona can be found in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Tucson, Flagstaff, Surprise and Maricopa. In Nevada, the ATMs can be found in Las Vegas.
Reported by The Crypto Sight in December last year, there has been a massive upward trend in the installation of cryptocurrency ATM machines in 2018. While the vast majority of the 4167 crypto ATMs worldwide support Bitcoin (BTC) — 99.9 percent, or 4,162 — 64.6 percent support one or more altcoins, with Ethereum is available at almost half the machines and Litecoin is available at 2,421.
