Coinbase Earn Lets Users in 100 Countries Study and Earn Cryptocurrency

Coinbase, the leading US-based cryptocurrency exchange firm, has announced that users in more than 100 countries can complete educational tasks in Coinbase Earn to earn cryptocurrency.

According to its press release, Coinbase Earn users are requested to completing tasks, answering quizzes, and try new decentralized protocols. After finishing the required tasks, users are rewarded by different cryptocurrencies. Currently available tokens are Stellar Lumens (XLM), ZCash (ZEC), Basic Attention Token (BAT), and 0x (ZRX), and more. The project aimed at guiding users on how to use cryptocurrency and blockchain projects.

Introduced in 2018, the program was an invite-only initiative. Back then, users can earn cryptocurrency by learning about the ERC-20 token “0x” (ZRX). According to Coinbase, uninformed users preferred earning in crypto to invest in crypto. They said:

“…one of the biggest barriers preventing people from exploring a new digital asset was a lack of knowledge about that asset. Many of the people we surveyed expressed a strong desire to begin learning about new and different crypto assets beyond Bitcoin, but didn’t know where to begin.”

Recently, US professional tennis player and multiple Grand Slam title holder Serena Williams has reportedly revealed that her investment arm Serena Ventures has been quietly investing in over 30 companies, including major US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.

Earlier, the exchange has announced its new trading services in 11 countries, including  Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, and New Zealand. With this expansion, Coinbase now reaches 53 countries, spread across four continents, reported by The Crypto Sight on April 22.
