American Postal Carrier Employs Blockchain Technology to Enhance Merchant Supply Chains Quality

On March 21, one of the global leaders in logistics UPS announced its collaboration with e-commerce technology company Inxeption to integrate blockchain platform called Inxeption Zippy.

Accordingly, the blockchain technology from Inxeption will improve the security of sensitive information, which guarantees contract-specific pricing and negotiated rates or similar data will be restricted to buyer and seller only. Using the platform, merchants will also get access to a varied set of sales and supply chain management tactics from developing a website to monitoring orders and conducting marketing tactics.

Farzad Dibachi, CEO of Inxeption, said that the two companies aimed to transform the B2B e-commerce and blur the distance between companies and their customers online trustworthily. He further explained: “This relationship creates simplified pricing solutions for B2B merchants with limited digital marketing and IT resources to easily manage all aspects of selling and shipping from one secure place.”

Earlier this year, Inxeption received an unrevealed amount of equity investment from UPS. At that time, Dibachi commented that secure platforms were essential for business customers to protect their customer data and proprietary information as well as create room for easier interaction and collaboration between them.

The implementation of blockchain technology into supply chain development has become increasingly popular among different industries. As The Cryptosight reported, highlights include the partnership of the U.S. National Pork Board with blockchain startup ripe.io to roll out a trial of blockchain platform for pork supply chains and the launch of a blockchain platform for seafood traceability by Bumble Bee Foods recently.
