Former Head Of TikTok Gaming Embarked On New Journey With Own Web3 Protocol Firm

| 12-Th7-2022

Jason Fung, previously the Head of gaming at TikTok, reportedly embarked on a new journey with his own firm Meta0 – a footprint across the Web3 space.

Specifically, The former gaming head reportedly shared an excited attitude towards the development, proclaiming that it was Day One for the fledgling Metaverse technology startup.

Fung reportedly provided further explaination, disclosing the plans down its pipeline to bring his pool of acquired information and experience in gaming and software development to help build a grander version of what the Metaverse could be.

“Many Web2 companies are trying to figure out how metaverse fits into their business models. What does it mean to transfer the ownership of assets to users and to be more decentralized? Is it worth the risk associated with giving up control and ownership? There are legal considerations among others to think through before moving that direction.”

Fung further stated Meta0 has a primary target of urging others in the Web2 space to start doing new things in the Web3 space, and become a part of the effort to design the Metaverse while fixing real-world problems.

His career has reportedly been dedicated towards tournament platforms and esports, though he spent his efforts on mini-games and created new player experiences while at TikTok. He explained that his profound interest in gaming and blockchain was a primary factor assisting him in singling out the problems troubling Metaverse development in its current iteration.

Per Fung, interoperability is reportedly among the most significant obstacles of the Metaverse, specifically between implementations, protocols, technologies and establishments associated with developing this space.

“Meta0 allows game developers to build different parts of their games on different blockchains simultaneously. Cross-chain interoperability will come into play. Some of the developers we are talking to now appreciate our multi-chain game development approach.”
