Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation has reportedly rolled out its online NFT museum dedicated to the preservation of significant events, beginning with the ongoing assault Russia launched into Ukraine. 

Specifically, Fedorov specified that the NFTs describe key events from the view of Ukrainian people since Feb 24th at 5:45 AM local time. This is when the conflict started as Russia announced a ‘special military operation’ in the Donbas region of Ukraine. 

The NFT Museum is made possible with the help of Fair.xyz, a blockchain platform that provides blockchain infrastructure for the project. 

As announced on the official website of the museum, a total of 54 NFTs (depicting key moments of the conflict from Feb 24 to Feb 26) are available for sale in Ether (ETH) to “support army and civilians.” The artworks are the combination of numerous events, sources on Twitter posts from government personnel, responses from world leaders with “personal reflections.”

Mr. Fedorov said “While Russia uses tanks to destroy Ukraine, we rely on revolutionary blockchain tech. The museum where we keep the memory of war. And the place to celebrate Ukrainian identity and freedom.”

The museum representative added that they would never let any single memories of this period vanish from mankind’s history. 

In addition to raising donations for Ukraine’s military, the NFT effort appears to be aimed at Russian state media, which has been attacked by many around the world for spreading propaganda and misinformation, particularly in the aftermath of the February 24 events in Ukraine. One of the project’s stated goals is to “spread truthful information among the global digital community.”

The Ministry of Digital Transformation provided wallet addresses so that Ukraine’s government can accept crypto donations. The total number has reached about $108 million in crypto for humanitarian causes and military aid of the country.
