Swyftx Enters Major Sponsorship Agreement With Aussie National Rugby League

| 17-Th2-2022

Crypto exchange from Brisbane Swyftx has reportedly put its signature on a sponsorship deal lasting for three years, with the Australian National Rugby League (NRL).

Specifically, Swyftx reportedly completed its registration in Australia and New Zealand, as well as rolling out trading offerings for approximately 300 virtual assets.

The company was reportedly established four years ago, with the NRL deal going down as a significant milestone for promoting the local crypto and blockchain scene to sports supporters, with the Australian Football League women’s competition already entering a $25 million agreement, lasting for half a decade, with Crypto.Com.

The most recent deal will reportedly cover NRL, Women’s NRL (NRLW), State of Origin and All-Star games, with an option available for a fourth-year extension to the end of 2026.

Swyftx’s branding is reportedly going to go live on LED signage within stadiums, as well as in a virtual manner with TV broadcasts, while its name will also be featured on the NRL’s in-game review and decision board, with plans down its pipeline to call it the “Swyftx Bunker” in 2023.

“The partnerships we’re seeing at the moment represent a sign of growing confidence in the future of crypto and its potential for universal adoption. The real question now isn’t whether cryptocurrency is here to stay, but how quickly it reshapes the future of the global economy and traditional financial services.” Head of Swyftx – Ryan Parsons – reportedly shared that Australia is experiencing “an almost overnight mainstreaming of crypto”.

As a response to the inquiry regarding the reason crypto exchanges like Swyftx, Crypto.com and FTX are taking an active approach in entering sporting partnerships, Parsons further disclosed that the “mass appeal of sport may result in a “hugely important” measure for exchanges to make themselves known, as well as achieving mainstream recognition from the traditional finance scene.
