Three-time NBA champion LeBron James is reportedly forging an alliance with high-profile crypto exchange Crypto.com, in a bid to assist Web3-centric educational and workforce development opportunities. 

Specifically, the newly established alliance will reportedly aim to offer assistance to 1,600 kids in LeBron James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio, providing education related to the underlying technology of blockchain, as well as the way it can bring advantages to their future careers. 

Per James, blockchain is bringing revolutionization to a vast array of economies – sports and entertainment, art – as well as the person-to-person engagement, and he aims to not let the community he came from miss out on the trend. 

Students are reportedly having the ability to obtain knowledge associated with the careers available in the sector via virtual and in-person sessions, taught by professionals from Crypto.com.

Crypto.com is reportedly standing at the 5th spot in the list of top-tier crypto exchanges across the globe, possessing  24-hour trading volume of $3 billion. 

It currently supports more than 10 million customers. 

However, a few customers reportedly expressed their opposing stance towards the new partnership, believing that Crypto.com should dedicate its resources towards enhancing the customer experience, instead of allocating funds to this type of collaboration.
