Payments giant PayPal is reportedly working towards hunting fresh faces for numerous crypto-centric vacancies for its Ireland offices, showing extra signs of the firm’s interest in the crypto market. 

Specifically, as revealed by the Dublin-based Irish Independent, Paypal is reportedly searching for professionals to take up numerous crypto-centric positions, in the fields of compliance, anti-money laundering, and business development, for its branch in Dublin and Dundalk. 

PayPal reportedly rolled out a  business unit focusing mainly on blockchain and crypto in early 2021, as an effort to assist it in establishing a presence in crypto, which previously started in October 2 years ago, with the initiative to enable Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC) purchases for US-based clients. 

In March 2021, the firm reportedly widened its scope of products with the move to facilitate digital asset-enabled payment for goods and services, for US-based customers. Two months after that, PayPal disclosed details of another supporting feature for withdrawing crypto to third-party wallets. 

Dan Schulman – current Head of PayPal – reportedly shared in April that the firm’s crypto venture has reportedly crossed every preset target within the first six months of operations. Quickly making use of crypto coins as Bitcoin and Ether happened in coincidence with a major price incline, which drove the total crypto market evaluation to hit the $2.6 trillion benchmark. 

Regardless of the price correction taking place between May and July, crypto markets reportedly seem to have found the lowest point and are now climbing back up the ladder again.
