University Of Cincinnati Introduced Crypto-focused Curriculum As Crypto Attention Rises

The University of Cincinnati (UC) in Ohio, United States, has reportedly introduced courses built around cryptocurrency, as included in its curriculum, as academic the acceptance level for crypto are increasing. 

Specifically, crypto is reportedly making its way into the radar of academic institutions, with the acceptance level for it as an alternative to conventional assets are on the rise. 

As a matter of fact, UC is reportedly putting in efforts regarding two new programs, which aims to equip students with knowledge regarding a variety of different cryptocurrencies, nominally Bitcoin (BTC), as well as emerging financial technologies. 

The initatives reportedly receive financial support via funding from Dan Kautz and Woody (Woody) Uible, facilitated by the UC’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business. The scope of the funding will also include the formation of public-private lab space in the new Digital Future headquarters, with the expected timeline for opening being the latter half of 2022.

Following the introduction of this project, Dean Marianne Lewis, Ph.D., further revealed that students will have the ability to secure hands-on, practical learning in the new field of financial technology. 

“Our students will learn how to manage cryptocurrencies and how such digital assets impact our economy, positioning UC as the regional leader and among the top universities nationally with this kind of program.”

Cryptocurrency-related education has been witnessing an inclining pattern popularity-wise, lately, particularly throughout marginalized communities, since the new financial frontier makes it possible for individuals throughout the globe to create, innovate, generate money and prosper. 

To help that kind of communities to utilize said possibilities, Jay-Z and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey have formed a partnership to financially support The Bitcoin Academy, a program tailored for the residents of Mary Houses in Brooklyn, New York – Jay-Z’s hometown – which will provide people with knowledge of cryptocurrencies.
