Coinbase Commerce – the E-commerce-centric branch of the US-headquartered crypto exchange heavyweight Coinbase – has reportedly rolled out facilitating features for Dogecoin (DOGE) payments.

Specifically, as revealed via the firm’s Twitter, Dogecoin has reportedly joined the list along with six previous digital coins available for merchants to finalize payment, across Coinbase’s e-commerce portal.

The platform is reportedly offering supporting features for Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), together with stable coins Dai and USD Coin (USDC) currently.

An integration with Coinbase.com will reportedly make it possible for Coinbase Commerce clients to carry out the conversion of their crypto payments into U.S. dollars, euros, British pounds, or USDC while still staying on the e-commerce portal.

A similar integration dedicated to Coinbase Prime and Pro accounts will reportedly be rolled out in the near future.

Coinbase Commerce has been in the center of attention recently, being Sotheby’s payment associate throughout the auction offering Banksy’s iconic protest artwork “Love Is In The Air.”

During the bidding war which lasted for 14 minutes, which was marked by the auction house where crypto became a viable payment measure for a piece of physical artwork, bidders were able to conduct Bitcoin or Ether-enabled payments, via the alliance with Coinbase Commerce.

Sotheby sold Banksy’s art for $12.9 million, but the auction house did not share any remarks regarding whether crypto was utilized to complete the final payment.

In March last year, approximately two years after its inception, Coinbase Commerce reportedly crossed the $200 million in overall transactions processed, with 8,000 retailers using Coinbase for payment services.
