By Warren Hayes | June 16, 2022

High-profile crypto exchange entity Binance has reportedly forged an alliance with the “super app enabler” Splyt, to roll out payment measures to the Binance application.

Specifically, upon going live, the integration will reportedly offer facilitating features for crypto-enabled payment for for Binance users for not only ridehailing services, but also but “also bikesharing, scooters, airport transfers, public transport and even food delivery”.

The development – disclosed by Biance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao via Twitter – reportedly serves as a relief to Binance, which underwent problems associated with “stuck transactions” on Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawals on June 13th. The problem was fixed after eight hours.

A Splyt representative further revealed that this development would mark the first milestone  as the “first partnership in the cryptocurrency space” for the entity, and faced with perilous price action with Bitcoin plummeting below $25,000, “Splyt is enthusiastic about its development.”

“Increasingly, users are turning to their crypto wallets to pay for everyday services. […] Fully integrating everyday services as an obvious next step for crypto wallets.”

As for Binance, there intention of establishing a strong presence across the crypto payments sphere has been widely perceived. For CZ, payments and app integrations are meant to amplify the omnipresent Binance brand awareness.

With the global market opening up again following the recovery from the depths of the global health crisis, CZ has gone on a world tour, pitching crypto and Binance Pay to nations and investors throughout the globe.

“The other perspective is equally important: mobility and other on-demand services can dramatically increase acceptance and transaction volumes, by being available through crypto platforms, who together have hundreds of millions of users.”
